Neaptide collects no data.

There is no account, no server, no analytics and no network connection of any kind. This is not a promise about how carefully your data is handled. There is no data, and nowhere for it to go.

What Neaptide collects

Nothing. The app has no sign-up, asks for no email address, and contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking or advertising identifiers.

Neaptide does not use your location, your contacts, your microphone, your camera, your photos, your health data, or any sensor on the device or on your watch. It requests no permissions.

What Neaptide stores on your device

One thing: the session length you last chose, saved as a short piece of text in the app’s own storage so the app remembers it next time. It contains nothing about you, it is never transmitted, and it is deleted along with everything else when you delete the app.

Neaptide keeps no history of your sessions. There is no log, no record of which resets you used or when, and no diary. Nothing is written down about how you were feeling, because the app never stores the reading it makes.

The state reading

When you hold the opening circle, the app makes a rough guess about whether you are over- or under-aroused, based only on how you held the screen: how still you held it, how far your thumb drifted, and how quickly you first tapped. No sensors, no health data and no biometrics are involved.

That reading exists only in memory while the app is open, is never saved, and is never sent anywhere. Closing the app discards it.

Network use

Neaptide makes no network requests. It works fully in airplane mode, and there is no server behind it to receive anything even if it tried.

Payment

Neaptide is a one-off purchase from the App Store, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Apple handles the transaction. Payment details are never shown to, handled by or stored by this app or its developer — Apple’s own privacy policy covers that part.

Children

Because Neaptide collects nothing from anybody, it collects nothing from children. No age is asked for, and none is stored.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you. There is no personal data held about you, so there is nothing to request. Deleting the app removes the single stored setting along with it.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Neaptide ever changes what it stores or transmits, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change with it.
